With Semester 1 coming to an end, it’s time for you to let us know what you think and complete Module Feedback Questionnaires (MFQs). Module Feedback Questionnaires provide us with valuable feedback on your teaching and learning, and we use the information we get from these surveys to make positive changes to your student experience.
They are quick to complete and are completely anonymous. It’s really important to us that as many students as possible complete the questionnaires so that the collective ‘student voice’ we hear is fully representative of our student cohort.
How do I fill out the MFQs?
The MFQs are set up as Google Forms, which you can find in the ‘Classwork’ section in your Module Classrooms. You’ll be asked to give feedback on each of the modules you’ve had this Semester.
You should have already received an email to let you know the MFQs are now avaliable for you to complete.
How else can I give feedback throughout the year?
We depend on your honest feedback to make sure you have the teaching, resources, and facilities you need to succeed and have the best possible student experience.
If you have feedback when MFQs aren’t running there are several ways you can still voice your opinions, make comments, or raise concerns;
- Speak to your student rep. There is a rep for each year group, on each course. These are students who will gather feedback from others on their course and relate this to staff during Student and Staff Liaison Committees.*
- Speak to your Programme Leader, or Academic Support staff directly. Remember to be respectful and give constructive criticism, backed up with examples, and if possible give preferred alternatives or solutions.
Reporting technical faults
While different from feedback on your modules, we recognise the our facilities are extremely important to your student experience and it can be frustrating if you come across equipment that isn’t working. You can report technical faults, or issues with equipment as soon as you come across them. Report technical issues 24/7 through the ‘Technical Support Centre.’ If you’re not sure how, – here’s a reminder.
*Please note the last Student Staff Liaison Committee was held on the Tuesday, 28 November, and we’ll be sharing the notes of the meeting soon.
