Code of Standards for Accommodation Providers

Only landlords and letting agencies that have been accredited Manchester Student Homes (MSH) will be advertised and recommended on their platforms.

Manchester Student Homes have a strict code of standards that private landlords must abide to for their properties to be advertised. For landlords to meet the standards and be accredited they are thoroughly checked in a number of areas, including:

• Quality of properties
• Maintenance and upkeep of properties
• Contracts
• Licences and legalities

The code also obligates landlords to maintain and repair properties to a high standard throughout the duration of tenancies.

Approved Property Search

Manchester Student Homes has its own property search service which only features results from accredited landlords.

This helps ensure students find suitable accommodation that meets the code of standards, reducing the risk of poorly maintained properties, exploitative housing contracts, unresponsive landlords and other student housing horror stories.

To further improve students experience living in Manchester, MSH also work to help build relations within communities. They have a dedicated Good Neighbours Team to support students throughout their time living in student accommodation.
