Interplanetary Criminal dominated awards season for his track ‘Baddest Of Them All’, which topped the UK Charts this summer. The nostalgic track, featuring vocals from Eliza Rose, was in the Charts for 18 weeks in total. It peaked at the number one spot for two consecutive weeks in September after becoming a viral sensation, led predominantly by its popularity on TikTok.

The DJ and Producer, who studied Music Production with us almost 10 years ago, has been growing in popularity for a number of years. Dominating the UK garage scene, he’s played sets at the iconic HÖR, The Cause and Boomtown, and has performed at Warehouse Project more times than we can count.

Past Spirit Studios alumni Zakk nominated for DJ Mag award for best producer.

This year was the 16th edition of DJ Mag’s ‘Best of British’ awards which celebrates our homegrown talent as world leaders of electronic music. Interplanetary Criminal won both awards he had been nominated for: Best Producer and Best Track.

We couldn’t be prouder of his achievements and are delighted to see how far he’s come since his studies. Smashing it once again, he’s also now been nominated for 2023 ‘Song of the Year’ at the BRIT Awards. A very well deserved honour, we’ll be sure to tune in to the results show on Saturday, 11 February.
