We’ve responded to your feedback and made some more changes to the facilities to help improve your experience and maximise your creativity.
Computer Mice
An issue with the scroll wheel on some of our Apple mice was raised during the last SSLC meeting.
We’ve found a way to resolve this issue. The scroll wheel on all mice in our Mac Suites and Study Zone have been serviced and are now working. We’re in the process of testing and applying the same fix to any affected mice in our other facilities.
If you do encounter this issue again, please open a new ticket via our Technical Support Centre. It may just require some further cleaning. We’ll add the servicing of all mouse scroll wheels to the list of jobs we schedule each summer, minimising the risk of this happening again.
Edit Suite 2
Following the recent changes we’ve made to our Allen & Heath and Pioneer DJ booths, we’ve also made some changes to the DJ set up in Edit Suite 2. Rather than a mixer and 2x CDJs, Edit Suite 2 now has a Native Instruments Traktor S4 MK3 controller and a Macbook Pro with Traktor Pro 3 installed.
A controller-based set up offers something different to our main DJ booths, allowing our students to learn and experiment alternative technologies. Some students may appreciate it as a stepping stone before moving on to our DJ booths.
Have a look at some of the other recent updates we’ve made here.
